stained glass, stained glass panel

When I began decorating my home, I found some stained glass worked well as decorative glass.  A friend of mine made me a stained glass panel for my birthday, and this worked well in the front bedroom window.  I also discovered that a larger piece of stained glass panel would work on the skylights installed in the ceiling.  Using stained glass has become much more popular than before, and the beauty is appreciated by everyone.  Some of my friends love the "church" look.  They want some sort of stained glass panel to add to the blessing of their home.  Personally, I would rather have other scenes.

When you take up the hobby of stained glass, it is an expensive, but, satisfying one.  My friend had a stressful job, and he said making the stained glass objects gave him an inner peace.  He actually became a much more calm person, and he had improvement on his job as well in his personal life.  If you can get just a fraction of those results, it is a hobby well worth doing.  For me, painting works the same way.  I love to paint in oil, and as the years have gone by, I have gotten better.  The better I get, the more satisfied I am...and that is "good stuf."
