Our new home was very stark with white walls and paper curtains. Our first mission was to paint and get window coverings. One area that posed a particular challenge was the long, narrow window adjacent to the front door. My husband and I agreed that a stained glass panel would be perfect there.

With that said, we had to then agree on a pattern and either make it ourselves or get it made. I was happy to take on the challenge of learning to do a stained glass panel myself. I have always liked that sort of craft but never had the opportunity to dabble in it, well opportunity was loudly knocking!

I signed up and took classes that showed me how to make stained glass panels. Once my husband and I agreed on colors and a pattern I got serious. I found working with the materials to make the stained glass panel was a challenge. I gladly accepted the guidance and assistance of my teachers. Together we created a beautiful stained glass panel that now is displayed in that long, narrow window by the front door!
