I truly love stained glass |

There's something about stained glass that I absolutely love. Maybe it's taking artwork to another level, seeing the sunshine through beautiful stained glass panels, showcasing the artwork. Or maybe it's the colors, seeing the natural light shine through the glass; highlighting the colors and seeing them shine down on things, whether it's people, the floor, etc. Whatever the reason, stained glass has been an artwork that I have loved for well over 20 years.
There is a phenomenal stained glass exhibit at Navy Pier in Chicago that I love to go and take my time walking through. The stained glass panels they have on display are truly works of art and deserve to be seen by all. I love to take my time, just walking and enjoying them all. I would love to take pictures, but I don't think my camera would do those beautiful artwork justice. The last time I went to Navy Pier we were rushing through to get to the garden show upstairs, so I just saw the stained glass exhibit in passing as a blur. But I want to go back some time to take my time see it all. My cousins might come into town Labor Day weekend, if so I'll take them sight seeing and go to Navy Pier, I know my one cousin would love to see all the beautiful stained glass.
One thing I want to do at some point in the near future, is learn how to create stained glass, I may never making anything as beautiful as the old craftsmen, but at least I can say I know how to do it, and tried. Which is what I want to do, try to see what I can create. After all the whole fun of art is seeing what you can come up with, your own interpretations on things. It's something I've been having fun doing most of my life, using various mediums.
