stained glassSpreading myself too thin has always been a problem for me, and my latest arts and crafts interest is learning to make stained glass. I adore stained glass. It is decorative and functional at the same time so it's not only a craft, it is an art. I just learned that there is a hobby shop about two miles from my house that teaches how to make stained glass, and this fall, I think I will enroll in a beginning class. I"m not big on taking classes, but how it is made is way beyond me, so a class for this is a requirement. I'd love to get really good at it so I could make my own patterns and eventually do complex artistic work. I read that the supplies for making stained glass are not inexpensive, so it won't be a hobby that I can afford to make a lot of mistakes with. That emphasizes the importance of taking classes and learning from someone who has a high skill level. Well, I'll only live once, so if I end up spending a few bucks on something I really like, in the end, it will just make my life that much more rewarding. stained glass
