Stained Glass
Did you know a home can have stained glass windows? I love them but didn't realize I could have them until recently. See, I set up an office in my home to pursue my dream of writing. I have family pictures on the wall, a bookshelf and an entertainment center as well as a couch for company or one if the kids wants come in and chat with me.
I love beauty and I have always loved stained glass so when a friend told me that yes, I could have them installed in my office I was elated. When I walked into my office after the decorative glass was installed, I couldn't believe the difference. Their beauty seemed to reach out and touch every corner of the room. My family and friends have been in awe of them as well.
An added benefit? I have found my stained glass windows to be tremendously inspiring in my writing as well. I can look at those windows of art and whatever train of thought I needed just seems to come to me. I can be blocked and they can inspire me to open up like a fountain. They add a warmth and vitality to my little office that touches every one who sees them. I can't imagine my office without them.
