Stained Glass Showcased Over Winter Holidays |

Stained glass really has its time of the year come the last weeks of December. For Catholics, like myself, December 24th is the day where I really take notice of the beautiful stained glass panels that adorn local churches the nation over. The church I grew up going to has had the coolest looking stained glass I have ever seen next to St. Marks in New York City. From my experience, Catholic churches always seem to choose the scenes of Jesus during crucifixion for their stained glass panel artwork.
It makes sense because such a horribly beautiful moment is really captured within the art of stained glass when light is shining through. It is the perfect motivation to live a selfless life. The artwork that goes into some stained glass especially within churches is moving. I have seen people kneeling and crying in front of a stained glass picture of Jesus with thorns around his head while going to my old church. There are plenty of other places to see stained glass but nowhere more then a church does it stir up so many emotions.
