stained glassAfter watching the video below, I am thinking about making my own Halloween stained glass piece to ring in another year of ghosts and ghouls. In my mind, October 31st is one of the best holidays of the year. Everyone is dressed up in cool costumes, there are parties all over the place and Halloween attractions start as soon as October 1st rolled around. A house near where I lived went bonkers with Halloween decorations in their front yard. What they didn’t have was a stained glass pumpkin like the one shown in the video below. Stained glass is beautiful in any form but it is even more unique when the art brings in a festive feel. How to make pumpkin stained glass starts at the 1:15 minute mark of the video.

Using a carved pumpkin and then sticking in stained glass eyes, nose, mouth and ears brings a completely new dimension to the jack-o-lantern. It probably looks amazing when there is a candle light flickering within the hollowed pumpkin. The lady in the video says stained glass is easy but I am not convinced. I’ll stick to the stained glass online buys.
