EA Rock Band 2 - Xbox 360
It is really true when people say, “Who doesn’t want to be a rock star?” At least I think it would be awesome inspire fans with music and I have to say all the people who went out and bought EA Rock Band 2 must feel the same way. Whoever the genius was who figured out how to replicate the rock experience with plastic guitars, a mic and electronic drums needs to take a bow because they let out the inner rock gods in all of us even if it through a video game.
<--Stained Glass Shattering Good
We now have expert gaming rockers who can drop tasty riffs, face melting drum solos and sweeping vocals that could break stained glass like the guy on the Rock Band 2 drums clip above. This song is hard enough to even keep up with watching the video; it is clear this guy put some serious practice into mastering it. Check out the custom clothes the kid in the video placed over the drums probably because his parents were complaining about all the rocking noise. As I said, it is easy to get lost in this game and play it loud enough to shatter opalescent glass. I have had countless nights of cheap fun getting the friends together and holding a mini rock concert in our house powered by Rock Band 2.
I originally got this game in a box set with all of the instruments but after too many nights playing ballads loud enough to break decorative glass it started freezing up. It was no fault of the disc. All that use led to at least a couple times when the disc fell on the ground or was sloppily inserted into our Xbox 360. During the last days of my original Rock Band 2 disc, I went online to a favorite electronics retailer cleverly named Circuit Values at http://www.circuitvalues.com/ for a new copy.
They have never let me down when it comes to timely shipping so I am all for supporting a smaller online business. Anyway when our house got the new copy it was right back to jamming out. Thankfully we never shattered any of the opalescent glass in our place rocking out but we got pretty close. Some people call stained glass or Tiffany glass a beautiful thing of art and I call Rock Band 2 just as awe inspiring. Where else can you live out rock dreams at the flip of a game console switch?
