Stained Glass Sun Catchers |

My kitchen has two small rectangular shaped windows on either side of the stove that catch the afternoon sun. When I saw them I immediately thought what a great spot for a stained glass sun catcher. The mid-day sunlight would dissolve nicely into a myriad of colors displayed from a piece of decorative stained glass.
So, began my search for the perfect sun catchers. I was pleasantly surprised to find many websites that offered decorative glass and stained glass panels. It was too easy really, because the choices were many and I had a hard time narrowing it down at first. I had saved a bunch of options in my favorites and it took me a while to pick the final contestants!
Finally, I choose the two stained glass sun catchers that would fit nicely into my kitchen. The first is a sunflower made of brightly colored decorative glass. It is made with yellow, green, brown and an opalescent glass. The other is a full yellow sun with big rays of yellow and orange. The sun sits in a bright blue sky background. Both pieces of stained glass catch the afternoon sun beautifully! |
