The entry way to my parents home sports two large carved wooden doors. Beside each of those doors is a long narrow window. The windows really light up the entry way in the daytime but at night they revealed too much of the interior of the house. My parents felt uncomfortable at night with the easy visibility into their home through those windows. Solution: installing a custom made stained glass panel in each window made of opalescent glass! 

This was a fun project as my mother and father spent some time looking for the perfect stained glass design. They knew what colors they wanted to incorporate in each of the long narrow stained glass panels but they were not sure of the pattern or picture they would depict. After many months of looking around and installing temporary paper blinds my parents made their final choice.

Today each of those long narrow windows is prominently covered with the most beautiful stained glass panel made of an opalescent glass. The light is diffused but still comes through during the day. At night my mother and father experience the security and privacy they were seeking.
