The first thing you see when you walk into my sister’s house is a gorgeous stained glass panel that we bought her as a gift when she finished college. My mother was so proud of her that she wanted to put an exclamation point on the very special occasion with a stained glass panel. A week before my sister’s graduation, my mom went to almost every store imaginable in order to find the new graduate a very special gift, however it wasn’t until we drove past a church that a light bulb went off in my head and I screamed, “Alas, a stained glass panel!” We very quickly drove back home, because we remembered that my aunt had bought a stunning stained glass panel online a while back and knew we could find what we were looking for right through my laptop. As we drive home, my mom got really excited imagining the smile it would bring to my sister on her special day when her eyes took a first peek at the stained glass panel we were about to get her. It only took us about an hour to find the perfect glass panel but the memory of the smile my sister gave us will last forever.
