I have to admit that there are times during a church service that my mind wonders a bit. Does that happen to you too? I often find myself thinking about cooking that Sunday roast or finishing up the laundry so the kids sports outfits will be clean for the following day of school. Other times I simply become entranced with the beautifully crafted stained glass windows. When the bright sun shines through each stained glass panel it is simply memorizing.

As I admire the awesome stained glass in church I can hear the sermon in the background. I am drawn back into the present and get the point of the days lecture. The congregation rises to sing a hymn. My family and I also rise to belt out the extremely familiar words. Attending a weekly church service is a routine for my family and I. I cannot think of Sunday that we have missed a service. Afterwards we meet with the rest of the parishioners in the stained glass vestibule for hugs, handshakes and cake. It is a wonderful fellowship.
